T&Cs for the 20% Lifetime Discount

If you purchase a new health insurance policy in certain countries, you’ll receive a 20% lifetime discount for as long as you renew that policy. The 20% lifetime discount is subject to the terms & conditions below.

  1. We’ll apply a 20% lifetime discount [the “Discount”] to the premium you pay for a new health insurance policy. We’ll apply the Discount to the premium as long as you renew your policy and for for as long as you remain eligible for the Discount.
  2. The policyholder must be resident in one of the following countries at the start date of the policy: Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Vietnam, China, Japan, Macao, Mauritius, Malawi, Botswana, Chile, Costa Rica, or India. Other members on the policy need not reside in one of the countries above. We’ll apply a Discount to their premiums for as long as the policyholder is resident in one of the countries listed above.
  3. In countries other than those listed above, we’re running a separate promotion for new policies
  4. Only individuals and families purchasing a new policy with a start date on or before 31 December 2026 are eligible for the Discount. Your certificate of insurance states if the Discount applies to your policy.
  5. Child-only policies are not eligible for the Discount.
  6. The Discount does not apply to optional benefits such as the enhanced well-being benefit, Dental Basic, Dental Plus, Medevac Plus, and the additional premium for increasing your limit for outpatient treatment on the SilverLite plan. The Discount also does not apply to the optional personal accident plan.
  7. You’re not eligible if you select the following excess options: US$400 per claim, US$1,600 per claim, US$5,000 per claim, US$1,600 per annum, US$2,500 per annum, US$5,000 per annum, US$10,000 per annum. We’ve stated the US dollars excesses options, but we also mean the equivalent options in Euros and pounds sterling.
  8. The Discount will cease if the policyholder relocates permanently to a country that’s not eligible for the Discount. However, the policyholder may become eligible for a different discount.
  9. If you’re an an existing policyholder and you wish to benefit from the Discount, you must cancel your policy and re-apply for a new policy with a start date no sooner than 90 days after your original policy was cancelled. Your application for a new policy will be subject to full medical underwriting, and we may apply exclusions and/or loadings in respect of pre-existing medical conditions and related conditions.
  10. We reserve the right not to apply the Discount when we offer you a new policy.
  11. The Discount will apply to new members who join your policy once it has started.
  12. The Discount will apply to upgrades and changes you make to your plan once your policy has started, provided the policyholder’s country of residence remains an eligible country.
  13. The Discount isn’t available in conjunction with other offers, discounts, or promotions.
  14. We reserve the right to alter the T&Cs of the Discount, or to withdraw the Discount entirely, at any time.
