T&Cs for the Fading Discount

If you purchase a new health insurance policy in certain countries, you’ll receive a 15% discount in your first policy year, a 7.5% discount in your second policy year, and a 3.75% discount in your third policy year. The fading discount is subject to the terms & conditions below.

  1. We’ll apply a 15% discount to the premium you pay for the first year of a new health insurance policy. We’ll apply a 7.5% discount to the premium you pay for the second year of that policy, and a 3.75% discount to the premium you pay for the third year of that policy.
  2. As of 01 January 2025, we will freeze your policy’s discount for as long as you continue to renew it. This means there will be no further fading of the discount. For example: Your policy currently enjoys a 7.5% discount and it’s due to renew on 01 April 2025, at which point you were expecting your discount to fade down to 3.75%. This fading will no longer happen; the discount on your renewed policy will remain 7.5%, provided you remain eligible under the terms of the fading discount [the “Discount”].
  3. Only new policies with a start date on or before 31 May 2024 are eligible for the Discount. Your certificate of insurance states if the Discount applies to your policy.
  4. Child-only policies are not eligible for the Discount.
  5. The Discount applies to all optional benefits, including enhanced well-being, the maternity options, Dental Basic, and Dental Plus. The Discount does not apply to the optional personal accident plan.
  6. You’re not eligible for the Discount if you’re resident in Indonesia and you select Zones 2, 3 or 7 as your coverage zone.
  7. Eligibility for the Discount depends on the policyholder’s country of residence. The Discount will cease for the policyholder and any dependants if the policyholder relocates permanently to a country that’s not eligible for the Discount. In the case of group policies, eligibility for the Discount depends on the company’s location.
  8. New individual customers with Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Vietnam, China, Japan, Macao, Mauritius, Malawi, Botswana, Chile, Costa Rica, or India as their country of residence are eligible for a different promotion.
  9. The Discount will apply to new members (or employees, in the case of group policies) who join your policy once it has started.
  10. The Discount will apply to upgrades and changes you make to your plan once your policy has started, provided the policyholder’s country of residence remains an eligible country (or provided the company’s location remains in an eligible country, in the case of group policies).
  11. The Discount isn’t available in conjunction with other offers, discounts, or promotions.
  12. We reserve the right to alter the T&Cs of the Discount, or to withdraw the Discount entirely, at any time.
