This policy sets out the companies involved in the provision, issuance, and servicing of your insurance policy: who they are, what they do, and where they’re located.

The companies involved in your insurance policy depend on the country where you reside.

  • Your insurance policy is provided by William Russell Ltd (WRL), a privately-owned insurance brokerage located just outside of London in the UK. WRL is registered in England & Wales under company number 02687939, and is authorised and regulated in the UK by the Financial Conduct Authority under reference number 309314. WRL is owned by the Cooper family: Inez Cooper, who lives near the company offices in Surrey, and William Cooper, her son, who lives in North London.
  • Your insurance policy is insured by AWP P&C SA (AWP), an insurance company located in Paris, France, which operates in England & Wales as a foreign company under number FC030280. Its UK branch is based in Croydon, Surrey.
  • If you have a health insurance policy and you need an emergency medical evacuation, we work with Charles Taylor Limited (formerly known as CEGA). Charles Taylor is a private limited company located in London, registered in England & Wales under company number 03194476.
  • Your insurance policy is provided by William Russell Europe SRL (WRE), an insurance brokerage located in Brussels, Belgium. WRE is registered in Belgium with Financial Services & Markets Authority (No. 0731.975.658 RPM) as a limited liability company with share capital of €30,000. WRE is a wholly-owned subsidiary of William Russell Ltd (WRL). The UK branch of William Russell Europe SRL is registered at William Russell House, The Square, Lightwater, Surrey, GU18 5SS, UK. The UK branch is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority, reference no. 973067.)
  • When you purchase an insurance policy through WRE, you automatically become a member of the William Russell Association for Health, Financial Protection and Well-Being (the WRA). The WRA is an independent, not-for-profit, and free-to-join community of expats, of which WRE and WRL are the founding members. Your insurance cover derives from the policies that the WRA holds with the insurance company (see next bullet point). WRE is the company that’s responsible for arranging the WRA’s insurance policies.
  • Your insurance policy is insured by AWP Health & Life SA (AWP), an insurance company located in Paris, France. AWP is a limited company, governed by the French Insurance Code, and is registered in France  under No. 401 154 679 RCS Bobigny. AWP is part of the Allianz group of companies, which is one of the largest financial services conglomerates in the world.
