T&Cs for the refer-a-friend promotion

  1. By supplying your friend, colleague or family member’s (“friend”) contact details to William Russell Limited and William Russell Europe SRL (“us”, “our”), you are confirming that you have their permission to do so.
  2. When you send us your friend’s contact details, we will send them an email (stating your name as the person who has made the referral) inviting them to contact us for a quote.
  3. If we don’t hear from your friend within five days, we may try to phone them using the number you have supplied). We will not make any more than three attempts to contact them.
  4. We’ll only use your friend’s contact details to contact them regarding the REFER A FRIEND promotion.
  5. If your friend contacts us directly (by phone, email or via our website enquiry form), they must reference the REFER A FRIEND promotion and give us your name and plan number in order to qualify for the REFER A FRIEND promotion.
  6. We will pay the US$50 and US$100 Amazon Gift Cards (“Gift Cards”) only once your friend has taken out a plan and their plan has been in force for 30 days. We will email their Gift Card within two weeks after the qualifying period (30 days from inception of your friend’s plan), provided both your plan and your friend’s plan both remain in force and all payments are up to date.
  7. We will email the Gift Cards to you and your friend using the email addresses we have on record for you both.
  8. To redeem the REFER A FRIEND promotion, you and your friend must have valid email addresses.
  9. The REFER A FRIEND promotion is not available in conjunction with any other promotion.
  10. The REFER A FRIEND promotion is not available to friends or family members or colleagues who share the same address as you.
  11. The annualised premium value of the friend you’re referring must exceed US$1,000 (or equivalent in other currencies).
  12. We may change, cancel or withdraw the REFER A FRIEND promotion at any time, without notice.
  13. The Refer a Friend promotion is only available when the friend you’re referring is age 18 or older.
  14. The Refer a Friend promotion is available for new plans only. It is not available for existing members renewing their plan, nor is it available when the friend you’re referring was previously insured through us at any time in the previous three months.
  15. We cannot accept any responsibility for us not receiving your referral.
  16. The Refer a Friend promotion is not available to our employees, contractors, appointed representatives, introducers or brokers, or anyone else affiliated to these companies (including family members)
  17. The promoters of the Refer a Friend promotion are William Russell Ltd and its subsidiary company, William Russell Europe SRL, both of which are registered in the UK at the following address: William Russell House, The Square, Lightwater, Surrey GU18 5SS, United Kingdom.
  18. The value and merchant of the Gift Card is as stated, is non-transferable, and no cash alternative is available.
