With the ongoing situation in the Middle East & Eastern Med, we’re operating as normal. We remind our members that they have access to safety and security advice or help via Solace Secure. More information available on Facebook & LinkedIn.
We think that annually renewable policies are more suitable for people living and working abroad. It means our members aren’t tied into long-term life insurance contracts if they decide to move countries, return home, or if their circumstances change. Even though your policy is annually renewable, we don’t ask you more medical questions each time you renew. You can renew your policy until the year during which you reach age 74 (or 69, if your policy started when you were age 61+), even if your health deteriorates.
Your life insurance policy gives you no cover in Iran, Libya, North Korea, South Sudan, Syria, Yemen, or any country or region where the UK FCDO has advised its citizens to leave.
Normally, we only provide insurance to expats (i.e., people living and working outside of their country of nationality). But there are a few exceptions.
You can buy our insurance policies if you’re an expat, a digital nomad or someone who spends at least 6 months of the year overseas. In certain countries, we can provide insurance to non-expats who are permanently resident in their country of nationality.
Yes, you can delay the start of your policy—but not indefinitely.
