If you already have life insurance with William Russell, we can’t renew your plan when you move to one of the following countries.
Iran, Libya, North Korea, South Sudan, Switzerland, Syria, Yemen, United Kingdom.
Our plans are annual, so at the end of your period of cover we’ll cancel your plan and we won’t offer you a renewal plan.
Why are there problems with purchasing life insurance in these countries?
For some of these countries, the reasons are obvious. Sanctions prevents us from providing insurance to people in countries like Iran and Libya. You might wonder, however, why we cannot provide insurance to people living in the UK and USA. Those are seemingly safe countries, after all! For those two countries, the reason is compliance. Their governments place requirements on life insurance that our plans don’t meet.
