What would happen if you suddenly became too ill to work?
The Global Income Protection will provide you with a regular income when an illness or injury prevents you from working for a period of longer than 3 or 6 months. As an international plan, it also offers protection when travelling for business or pleasure.

- Cover available to new clients aged 18 to 55, but can be renewed to age 65 (premiums are age-related)
- Cover is annually renewable, however there is no further underwriting once cover is in place unless benefit levels are increased.
- Cover available up to 75% of your salary, subject to a maximum limit of $144,000.
- Choice of a 3 or 6 month deferment period - this is the amount of time you would be off work before the benefit begins to be paid.
- Benefit paid for 24 months if an illness or injury prevents you from working at your own occupation.
- After 24 monthly payments, we will continue your benefit if you are medically certified as being unable to return to a suited occupation.
- Benefit will continue until you are able to return to work, age 65 or your death - whichever is soonest.
- Within the first 24 months of a claim, rehabilitation benefit is available for up to 6 months if you are able to return to work part-time. This will cease when you return to full-time employment.
- Benefit payments will increase by 2% compound each year during a claim.
- Following a successful claim, if you return to work but suffer a relapse within 6 months of your return, the deferment period will be waived. Benefit payments will recommence immediately.
- The Global Income Protection plan does NOT cover redundancy or voluntary unemployment.
PRE EXISTING CONDITIONS
The Global Income plan won’t cover death caused by a medical condition or injury you suffered from before your plan commenced, (unless you’ve disclosed full details of your condition, and we’ve agreed to cover it).

IT’S EASY TO APPLY
Simply complete an application form and fax it through to us. Once we receive your completed form, we will advise you of our medical requirements. If you need to have a medical, it can usually be done locally, provided the doctor holds Western qualifications and can complete the report in English. If a medical examination is required, we’ll pay towards the cost once your policy is in force.

The Global Income plan comes with a 30-day money back guarantee. If you are not entirely satisfied with the plan, tell us in writing within the first 30 days of cover and, subject to there having been no claim, we will refund the premium in full.
