Premiums depend upon the amount of cover you need for your employees, their ages, locations, occupations and the range of benefits you wish to insure.
STEP 1 – SUPPLY INFORMATION
To provide your company with a quotation, we will need the following information, preferably in Excel format:
- Name and address of company - Type of business - Currency of quote (£, US$ or €)
A list of the employees for whom cover is required showing:
- Name or identification number
- Nationality
- Location
- Date of birth or age
- Date of birth or ages of all dependants
- Occupation
- Gender
- Salary (if the benefit is to be salary related)
STEP 2 – CHOOSE THE PLAN(S) AND BENEFIT LEVELS
Additionally we need to know the type of cover you require (for example life cover, income protection etc.), and the amount of cover required for each employee. To view the plans available to you within our Global Health range please click here to download a copy of the Global health plan benefits.
STEP 3 – CONSIDER OPTIONS FOR MEDICAL EVIDENCE
For life and income protection insurance, if there are 10 employees or more, they will be covered up to a ‘Free Cover Limit’, provided they are actively at work at the commencement of their insurance, so no medical evidence will be required if the cover requested is within the ‘Free Cover Limit’. Your company’s free cover limit will depend on the number of employees you insure and other factors such as their locations and occupations. Medical evidence will be required for cover in excess of the ‘Free Cover Limit’.
For Global Health, we also need to know whether or not you would like us to cover pre-existing conditions. For more information about the options available to you please click here to download a copy of the obtaining a quotation help sheet or see below.
STEP 4 – CONTACT US
Please email your information to us. Alternatively, you may prefer to talk through the options with one of our sales advisers in the United Kingdom or Hong Kong. We will be delighted to discuss your requirements at any time and offer advice and recommendations so you can achieve an employee benefit plan which best suits your company’s specific needs.
Cover options for pre-existing conditions under the Global Health plan
Underwriting is the process by which an insurer decides on what terms it will accept people for cover based on the information they, or their employer, supplies.
There are four methods by which you can apply for cover:
1) Moratorium Underwriting
2) Full medical history underwriting
3) Continued personal medical exclusions
4) Medical history disregarded
