Charlotte, Rosanna and Sam complete their 30-mile endurance challenge to raise much needed funds for Médecins Sans Frontières charity.
The challenge began at 7.45am as the mist rose from Talybont Reservoir on the chilly September morning. Packed with water, extra clothes and food for the day, the trio completed the course in 14 hours. For the last three hours they trailed behind each other in complete darkness with only the light from head-torches, and the distant shimmer of glo-sticks marking the trail.
The course incorporated sharp ascents to 886 metres and descents, spectacular ridgeline walking, forestry plantations and bog marshes, with picturesque views stretching down to reservoirs, and across the National Park.
The team comprised of Broker Consultant Charlotte Stevens, Marketing Manager Rosanna Turner, and Direct Sales Administrator Sam Cooper.
They were aiming to raise money towards the purchase of an operating table worth £11,500 to allow MSF medical teams to perform fistula surgery on women in Burundi, Africa who have suffered prolonged and complicated labour.
