Woking & Sam Beare Hospices are a local charity, based just a few miles from William Russell's UK office. The organisation offer extensive patient care for free, so are therefore reliant on charitable donations and fundraising activities. The Hospice itself is situated on the outskirts of Woking, Surrey, and was opened in December 1996 to provide palliative care and support for patients and their families living in central Surrey.
The care offered at the hospice is based on the belief that each person is more than their illness, and that each patient has unique physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs, which the hospice strives to respond to. Meeting the needs of each individual helps people achieve the best possible quality of life.
To support their work, William Russell have devised a scheme whereby we donate £3 to Woking Hospice when our policyholders opt for a paper rather than plastic policy card. We look forward to continuing to support this worthwhile cause - to keep up to date with our latest fundraising activities, take a look at our Media Centre.
